Charla Collins grew up in the same neighborhood where she now mentors teen girls, and she never forgot what it felt like to navigate those streets as a young girl with big questions. Over 30 years in the beauty industry, she listened to women and girls share stories about self-esteem, relationships, money struggles, and dreams.
Becoming Her Mentorship grew out of those conversations. Charla combines real-life experience, business ownership, and everyday wisdom to give girls guidance that feels honest, practical, and full of hope.
Community roots, real-life experience, and practical mentorship help teen girls grow with confidence and self-respect.
We grew up here, understand the culture, and guide girls with real care and respect.
Guided discussions, journaling, and workshops turn hygiene, boundaries, and confidence into daily habits.
Girls can ask hard questions, share feelings, and be heard without judgment or embarrassment.
Our journey started when Charla noticed too many teen girls struggling quietly with hygiene, self-worth, and emotional stress. She saw that quick talks at school or home were not enough. Becoming Her Mentorship grew out of a simple promise, to offer steady, honest guidance that meets girls right where they are.
Our mission is to help teen girls feel confident, seen, heard, loved, and worthy through steady mentorship and practical skills. We value community, honesty, respect, and growth. Every activity, from journaling to group conversations, is designed to build real confidence girls can carry into school, friendships, and their future.
